Mobile World Congress (2022): Realme, Poco, Nokia and other phones announced on Day 1 – Times of India

Mobile World Congress (2022) is being held in Barcelona, Spain. As always, tech companies have showcased new gadgets and devices at the annual trade show. On Day 1, we saw new launches from companies like Samsung, Realme, TCL, ZTE, Honor, OnePlus and more. Here we bring a recap of all new phones that were launched on Day 1 of MWC 2022.
Realme GT 2 Pro specifications
Realme GT 2 Pro has a 6.7-inch E4 AMOLED LPTO display with 3216 x 1440 pixels resolution. The display offers variable refresh rate of up to 120Hz and has Corning Gorilla Glass Victus protection on the top.
It is powered by Qualcomm Snapdragon 8 Gen 1 chipset paired with up to 12GB of RAM and up to 512GB of internal storage. Paper White, Paper Green, Steel Black, Titanium Blue are the colour options of the phone.
The rear camera system consists of a 50MP Sony IMX766 sensor, a 50MP ultra-wide-angle camera and a 3MP microscope camera. For selfies, the phone sports a 32MP camera at the front.
The device houses a 5,000mAh battery with 65W fast charging support.
Realme GT 2 specifications
Realme GT 2 is equipped with a 6.62-inch OLED display with full HD+resolution. The display has a refresh rate of up to 120Hz. The handset comes powered by the Qualcomm Snapdragon 888 chipset paired with up to 12GB of RAM and up to 256GB of internal storage.
At the front, the handset features a 32MP camera for selfies. The rear camera system consists of a 50MP Sony IMX766 sensor, a 50MP ultra-wide-angle camera and a 3MP microscope camera. It is backed by a 5,000mAh battery with 65W fast charging support.
Honor Magic 4
Honor Magic 4 runs Qualcomm Snapdragon 8 Gen 1 5G and runs on Magic UI 6.0 based on Android 12 operating system. There is a triple camera setup at the back. It consists of a 50MP wide lens, 50MP ultra-wide lens and a 64MP periscope telephoto lens.
The smartphone is equipped with a 6.81-inch display with 1224 x 2664 pixel resolution and 120Hz refresh rate. For selfies, the phone comes with a 12MP lens with 3D depth sensor. The device is backed by a 4800mAh battery with 66-watt charging.
Honor Magic 4 is IP683-certified and offers up to 12GB RAM.
Honor Magic 4 Pro
The smartphone features a 6.81-inch screen with 1312 x 2848 pixel resolution and 120Hz refresh rate. The display supports up to 1.07 billion colours and also has 100% DCI-P3, for sharper, more true-to-life colour reproduction.
Powered by Qualcomm Snapdragon 8 Gen 1 5G processor, the phone runs on Magic UI 6.0 based on Android 12. One of the highlights of the announcement is the 100W ‘SuperCharge’ wireless charging for the Magic 4 Pro, which, the company claims, can charge the 4,600mAh phone battery to 50% in just about 15 minutes.
Camera system on the phone consists of a 50MP main camera, a 50MP ultra-wide camera and a 64MP periscope camera.
Poco X4 Pro 5G
Poco X4 Pro 5G is equipped with a 6.67-inch full-HD+ AMOLED display with 1080 x 2400 pixels resolution. The phone’s display comes with 120Hz refresh rate, 360Hz touch sampling rate and 1200nits of peak brightness.
It is powered by Qualcomm Snapdragon 695 SoC coupled with 8GB of RAM. The handset offers Dynamic RAM expansion of up to 11GB. There is 256GB native storage that can be expanded up to 1TB via a microSD card.
The phone runs on MIUI 13 based on Android. It is backed by a 5,000mAh battery under the hood with support for 67W fast charging. Poco X4 Pro 5G has a 108MP main camera paired with an 8MP ultra-wide sensor and a 2MP macro camera. For selfies, it features a 16MP camera.
Poco M4 Pro 4G
The smartphone has a 6.43-inch full-HD+ AMOLED display with 90Hz refresh rate, 180Hz touch sampling rate and 1000nits peak brightness. Powered by MediaTek Helio G96 processor, the phone packs up to 8GB of LPDDR4x RAM and up to 256GB storage.
The smartphone runs Android 11 and houses a 5,000mAh battery with 33W fast charging support. There is a 16MP camera at the front for selfies. On the rear, the handset comes with a 64MP main sensor.
Nokia C2 2nd Edition
Nokia C2 2nd Edition comes with a 5.7-inch FWVGA screen. It is powered by quad-core MediaTek processor and has two RAM options — 1GB and 2GB paired with 32GB internal storage. The handset runs on Android 11 (Go edition) and has a 2MP camera for selfies. There is a 5MP sensor on the back with a fixed focus lens.
The phone houses a 2400mAh battery.
Nokia C21
Nokia C21 runs Android 11 (Go edition) and is powered by an octa-core Unisoc SC9863A chipset. The device packs 2GB and 3GB RAM options with 32GB internal storage. The handset is backed by a 3,000mAh battery and is equipped with an 8MP on the rear.
For selfies, the phone has a 5MP camera at the front. Connectivity options on Nokia C21 are 4G LTE, Wi-Fi 802.11 b/g/n, Bluetooth v4.2, GPS/ A-GPS, Micro-USB (with OTG), and a 3.5mm headphone jack.
Nokia C21 Plus
The smartphone has a 6.51-inch HD+ screen and comes powered by an octa-core Unisoc SC9863A processor. It runs on Android 11 (Go edition) and is offered in 32GB and 64GB storage.
The dual rear camera setup consists of a 13MP main sensor with an autofocus lens and a 2MP depth sensor. Nokia C21 Plus sports a 5MP selfie camera sensor at the front.
The handset is backed by a 4000mAh battery. It is IP52 certified and has a rear-mounted fingerprint sensor.
TCL 30 E and TCL 30 SE
The duo comes with a 6.25-inch HD+ display with 720×1600 pixel resolution. They run TCL UI based on Android 12 operating system and come powered by an octa-core MediaTek Helio G25 processor.
TCL 30 E packs 3GB of RAM and 64GB internal storage. TCL 30 SE, on the other hand, comes with 4GB of RAM and 128GB onboard storage. Both the handsets are backed by a 5,000mAh battery. TCL 30 E offers 10W charging, while the TCL 30 SE comes with 15W fast charging.
TCL 30 E features dual-camera at the back with a 50MP main sensor. For selfies, the phone offers a 5MP selfie camera. TCL 30 SE comprises a triple rear camera with a 50MP primary sensor, 2MP depth sensor and 2MP macro camera.
