The Aadhaar card is accepted as an identity document for all important work including bank, financial services, passport and all government services. So it is important to keep your Aadhaar updated. Any change in address or phone number needs to be updated in your Aadhaar card. Government also advises Aadhaar card holders to update their biometrics on Aadhaar every 10 years for security reasons. This cannot be done online, Aadhaar card holders need to visit Aadhaar Seva Kendras for the same.

For online update of address on your Aadhaar card, you have to pay Rs 50 (including GST).

* The UIDAI website allows citizens to change addresses on their Aadhaar cards with due document update. Citizens will require valid address proof or address validation letter (for those without valid address proof). These documents are mandatory to update/change your address on Aadhaar online.
* Check the status of any update/change made in Aadhaar. This includes the changes/updates made at an Aadhaar Seva Kendra. Users
* You can also view the details of the updates you have done in your Aadhaar. This can be done in ‘Aadhaar Update History’.
* Order Aadhaar PVC card.
* Locate nearest Aadhaar Seva Kendra.
* Book an appointment for Aadhaar Seva Kendra.
* Check validity of your Aadhaar card.
* File a complaint related to any misuse of your Aadhaar or more.
* Download your e-Aadhaar from m-Aadhaar website. Anyone in India with a smartphone can install and use mAadhaar app. Without an Aadhaar registered mobile number resident will be able to avail only a few of the services such as Order Aadhaar reprint, Locate Enrolment Center, Verify Aadhaar, Scanning QR code etc. However, registered mobile number is mandatory to create the profile in mAadhaar and use the same as digital identity and avail all other Aadhaar services which require registered mobile number under mAadhaar. The OTP will be sent to only their registered mobile for creating the profile in mAadhaar.
* Change password of your e-Aadhaar.
