BHOPAL: A total of 4.55 lakh vaccine doses were administered in the state on Monday.
After the Sunday break, mass vaccination drive was carried out on Monday across all the 51 districts of the state.
As per the instructions issued, at least 400 vaccine doses were administered at each of centre situated at the district headquarters. Earlier, only around 100 vaccine doses or 200 vaccine doses were administered, said sources.
Among the districts where maximum vaccination was reported are Indore (26,136 doses administered), Dhar (19,154 doses administered), and Betul (16,460 doses administered). In state capital Bhopal, only around 14,939 doses of vaccines were administered. As per official sources vaccination for Covid-19 will not take place on Tuesday but on Wednesday again more than 4 lakh vaccine doses will be targeted across the state, officials said.
Despite the increase in number of doses, crowd was seen at several sites, like in Rajgarh district thousands gathered at several vaccination booths, and police had to be roped in to control the situation.
