Android’s biggest issue may get even worse if this iPhone 13 rumour is true
It’s no secret that the iPhone blazes ahead of Android when it comes to raw power. Apple’s current range of A14 Bionic-powered devices all come top of the list for speed with stats posted by Geekbench showing just how far ahead the iPhone 12 is over its rivals.
Recent benchmark results reveal that nothing comes close to beating Apple’s chips with the iPhone 12 Pro Max getting a Multi-core score of 3936 – that’s compared to 3100 for Galaxy S21 Ultra.
If that wasn’t bad enough, things could be about to get even worse for Android with a new rumour suggesting that the upcoming iPhone 13 will be even more powerful than anything we’ve seen before.
An unconfirmed leak, that’s recently been posted on Twitter, states that Apples’s next processor – rumoured to be called the A15 Bionic – could be around 13 percent faster than the current brains found in the iPhone 13.

The stats posted on social media also suggest that it will be considerably more powerful than the new chip, called the Exynos 2200, which is being produced by Samsung for its future devices.
If true it could mean that, once again, Apple remains in pole position when it comes to devices with the most amount of oomph.
Of course, these scores should be taken with a large pinch of salt as it’s unclear how the tests were performed and whether things will change when real-world comparisons are performed in the future.
One thing we do know is that there is not too long left to wait for Apple’s next release.
The Californian technology firm has just sent out invites to the world’s media to its next event. It’s taking place on Tuesday, September 14 and could be when the latest and greatest iPhone 13 is shown to the world.
The invite reads “California Streaming. Join us for a special event broadcasting from Apple Park.”
There’s no word on what new features are coming to this latest range of phones but rumours suggest the biggest upgrade could be the new screen. Apple switched the standard iPhone to OLED technology last year and in 2021 it could be all about faster refresh rates. In fact, most experts believe that the iPhone 13 Pro models will get speedy 120Hz technology included.
Other extras could include better charging via Apple’s MagSafe tech along with that faster A15 processor and an improved camera that could offer pin-sharp pics at night.
