The much-anticipated free-to-play battle royale shooter Apex Legends Mobile has finally arrived in India. After months of beta testing and a soft launch in a few regions, Respawn Entertainment today released the game on the Google Play Store and App Store. As per the creators of Apex Legends, the mobile version is completely different from what we have seen on the PC, made especially for mobile.
Apex Legends Mobile is now available for everyone to download through the Play Store on Android and App Store on iOS. Interested players can go ahead and install the game through their respective app stores. However, pre-registered players for the game will be entitled to rewards, including Founder’s Badge, R99 Epic skin, Bloodhound banner pose and more.
Also, note that there is no crossplay available between the PC and mobile version of Apex Legends since the mobile version is a different game. So, if you are playing the Apex Legends on your Android or iOS smartphone, you won’t be able to play with your friends playing the game on their PC. But, the crossplay between Android and iOS is available.
Respawn Entertainment has mentioned some minimum hardware requirements for the mobile devices to run the Apex Legends Mobile.
Suppose you want to play the game on an Android smartphone. In that case, you need to have a smartphone atleast powered by the Snapdragon 435/HiSilicon Kirin 650/Mediatek Helio P20/Exynos 7420 and running Android 6 or above. Further, your Android smartphone should have a minimum of 4GB of free internal storage and atleast 2GB of RAM.
Meanwhile, if you want to play it on an iPhone, then make sure you have an iPhone 6S or later, and it is running minimum on iOS 11. Also, you would need 4GB of free internal storage and 2GB of RAM on your iPhone.
The Apex Legends Mobile brings a new legend Fade, with a passive ability of Slipstream and Flashback being his tactical ability. Fade’s ultimate ability is Phase Chamber, which lets him activator core that explodes, temporarily saving everyone in its radius from any damage.
Apart from a new legend, the Apex Legends Mobile comes with the new Overflow map in Arena mode and Advanced Training Level, allowing players to practice advanced fighting techniques. And there is a team fill mode, which auto-fills a new teammate in an active deathmatch game if a player leaves in the middle of the game. Furthermore, the mobile version of the game comes with Heatshields, 30-30 Marksman rifle, and 4x-10x thermal imaging optic scope.
