Apple has launched three new graphics cards for Intel-powered Mac Pro. These include the Radeon Pro W6800X MPX that comes at Rs 2,80,000, the Radeon Pro W6800X Duo MPX, priced at Rs 500,000 and the Radeon Pro W6900X that comes at Rs 600,000.
Apple says that the new modules will be sold both as a configure-to-order option when purchasing a new Mac Pro or as standalone kits for existing Mac Pro customers who would like to upgrade.
The AMD Radeon Pro W6800X comes with 32GB GDDR6 memory and 512GB/s memory bandwidth. The graphics card features AMD’s RDNA2 architecture, claimed to deliver up to 16.0 teraflops of single-precision or 32.0 teraflops of half-precision computing. As per Apple, it can support up to six 4K displays, three 5K displays or three Pro Display XDRs.
The AMD Radeon Pro W6800X Duo MPX Module is the more powerful GPU and can take on the most demanding multi-GPU pro applications, as per Apple. It comes with two Radeon Pro W6800X GPUs, each with 32GB of GDDR6 memory and delivering up to 512GB/s memory bandwidth.
The AMD Radeon Pro W6900X is the most powerful GPU module of the three. It comes with 32GB of GDDR6 memory with up to 512GB/s memory bandwidth. Featuring the RDNA2 architecture, this GPU module is claimed to deliver up to 22.2 teraflops of single-precision or 44.4 teraflops of half-precision computing. It can offer support for up to six 4K displays, three 5K displays or three Pro Display XDRs.
