apple: Apple’s ‘Beats Studio Buds’ appear in FCC filing: Report – Times of India

One of the possible new audio products from Apple has appeared in the FCC regulatory database, as per a report by Apple Insider. The product is listed as ‘Beats Studio Buds’ which could be the real name of the product. But apart from the probable name and one diagram with reference numbers A2512 and A2513, little has been revealed.
The FCC filing includes PDF documents under the tags of Bluetooth Test Report, Bluetooth LE Test Report RF Exposure Info, FCC ID Label and Location, Confidentiality Request Letter, Authorization Letter and Attestation Statements.
Earlier, reports had surfaced, claiming that Apple was working on new Beats earbuds which would come in a similar form factor as that of the AirPods. The images, first seen by MacRumors, indicated that the earbuds could be launched in White, Black and Red colour options. The FCC filing seems to have confirmed them although there is no official world from Apple.
Tech analyst Ming-Chi Kuo had claimed in one of his predictions that Apple doesn’t have plans to send the next-gen AirPods for production until Q3 2021. Kuo also predicted that Apple may see a decline in headphone shipments this year due to the rise in competition in the category. He added that the tech giant may also plan not to shelve selling the second-gen AirPods when the new AirPods arrive. Apple’s move to launch true wireless earbuds in the Beats lineup lines up well against the competition with rivals. While there have been TWS earbuds from Apple under the AirPods brand, the Beats Studio Buds should help Apple consolidate its position and fend off rivals.
