apple: Apple’s beta versions of iPadOS 15 and watchOS 8 are here – Times of India

The first public betas of the iPadOS 15 and watchOS 8 have been released by Apple, along with the iOS 15 beta. They can be obtained from the Apple Beta Software Program. Here are some of the new features the beta programs have got for users to experience
The iPad OS 15 beta brings a new Multitasking menu that lets you work on multiple apps at the same time. You can create Slide Over, Split View and also a centre window for the same. While picking the preferred layout, you will get the chance to select the apps you want to multitask with from the Home Screen.
To enable and view any message or note in the centre window, you can touch and hold to bring it to the middle of the screen without having to come out of the current view. With Split View, you can make apps appear side by side. With a tool called App Switcher, you can create Split View spaces on one screen by dragging one app over another. The beta has added keyboard shortcuts that can be accessed by pressing and holding the Command key.
The watchOS 8 beta
The watchOS 8 will let you import your preferred photos of friends and family from your iPhone as the watch face in your Apple Watch in Portrait mode. You will get some new photo highlights from Memories and Featured Photos daily as the new OS comes with automatic sync functionality. Also, the photos in the Memories collection will be displayed in a “unique mosaic grid”. The watchOS 8 will automatically suggest other smart devices nearby as soon as you activate any of your own smart devices.
