Assam class 10,12 board exams 2021 cancelled – Times of India

NEW DELHI: The Assam government announced on Friday that it has decided to cancel the class 10 and 12 board examinations. The education minister Ranoj Pegu said that it won’t be possible to conduct the HSLC, High Madrassa, and HS final year examinations in view of the prevailing Covid-19. The decision has been taken in the meeting of various stakeholders, including student organisations held at the state secretariat on Friday afternoon.

Recently, Karnataka, Odisha, Goa, Gujarat, Tamil Nadu, and Telangana have also cancelled the board examination due to the pandemic. Earlier in June, the class 12 CBSE and ISC board exams have been cancelled in view of the Covid-19 situation in the country.

Meanwhile, the Supreme Court on Thursday approved an evaluation formula framed by CBSE and CISCE which factors in the Class 10 board result, Class 11 score, and Class 12’s unit, mid-term and pre-board outcomes.
