Assam: GNRC Hospitals get SAMRIDH boost to fast-track Covid responseGuwahati: A fund support of US $1.2 million from USAID, IPE Global and stakeholders from the Indian government, academia and the private sector under the innovative SAMRIDH Healthcare Blended Finance Facility has enabled Assam’s leading chain of multi-specialty hospitals, GNRC Hospitals, to fast-track the response to Covid-19 pandemic.

SAMRIDH works in technical collaboration with premier institutions such as the Indian Institute of Technology Delhi, Atal Innovation Mission, NITI Aayog, Principal Scientific Advisor to the Government of India, the National Health Authority besides international donors, financial institutions and industry associations.

Founder of GNRC group of hospitals and GNRC Affordable Health Mission and a prominent Indian neurologist Dr Nomal Chandra Borah said, “The GNRC Family is enthralled and deeply grateful and whole heartedly acknowledges the support of USAID and this SAMRIDH initiative to assist us in our collaborative efforts. This partnership endorses our relentless efforts to make quality healthcare affordable and accessible to everyone in society, irrespective of their social and economic status, especially the most vulnerable populations.”
