Boston Fed Leader Eric Rosengren to Retire Early From Bank

Federal Reserve Bank of Boston President Eric Rosengren will retire from his bank on Sept. 30, the bank said, citing a health condition.

In a statement by the Boston Fed, Mr. Rosengren, age 64, said he was leaving as he had qualified for a kidney transplant to deal with a long-running condition. The bank said that caused Mr. Rosengeren to accelerate the timing of what had been a mandatory retirement from the bank next year after 35 years of service at the institution.
