Brickell Expands Global Footprint with Talma Investment

Israel-based Talma Travel Solutions has taken a majority stake in Miami-based Brickell Travel Management, which BTM said provides a more global reach that positions it to double its sales over the next three years.

Financial terms were undisclosed.

BTM CEO Maikel Rodriguez in a statement said Talma is “an extension of our team that could help us achieve a more expansive geographic footprint within the U.S. and worldwide.” The travel management company currently serves more than 20 countries in the U.S. and Latin America with a local presence in the U.S., Argentina, Brazil, Colombia, Mexico and Peru. The Talma partnership adds markets in Europe and the Middle East.

On the technology side, the partnership gives BTM access to Talma’s Wenrix airfare optimization tool and Arbitrip hotel platform, which includes capabilities for automatic rebookings when prices drop. BTM also will have access to expanded content from global distribution systems and New Distribution Capability connections, according to the company.

BTM said all employee and client relationships will remain intact with the partnership, and all offices will continue operations. Rodriguez and co-founder Michael Rodriguez, along with director of sales and account management Marc da Rocha and director of supplier relations Ennio Gonzalez, will remain as the company’s leaders.
