BSNL has revised its Rs 187 prepaid recharge plan. The telco has revised the daily data benefit of the plan and now comes with 2GB mobile data per day. It offers a validity of 28 days. Previously, the plan had a validity of 24 days.
In addition, the plan offers 100 SMS per day along with unlimited voice calling and access to free ringtones. The revised plan was posted by BSNL Kerala on Twitter.
The telco revised its three affordable plans in October last year. These included Rs 56, Rs 57 and Rs 58 low-cost BSNL prepaid plans.
As mentioned above, the revised Rs 187 prepaid plan offers unlimited voice calling to other telecom operators. It has a daily cap of 2GB mobile data after which the internet speed will be reduced to 80Kbps.
BSNL’s Rs 187 prepaid plan competes with the Rs 199 prepaid plan from Airtel, Reliance Jio and Vodafone Idea. Airtel’s Rs 199 plan offers 100 SMS per day and has a validity of 24 days. It comes with a 1GB daily mobile data limit. Unlimited calling, 30 days subscription to Amazon Prime Video Mobile, Airtel XStream, Wynk Music, and Hello Tunes are other benefits offered under the plan.
Reliance Jio’s Rs 199 plan, on the other hand, offers 1.5GB of daily data and has a validity of 24 days. It offers unlimited voice calling as well. Additionally benefits include access to JioTV, Jio Cinema, Jio News, Jio Security, and Jio Cloud.
Similarly, Rs 199 Vi prepaid plan offers 1GB of data, unlimited calls and 100 SMS per day. It also offers access to Vi Movies.
