Apple has announced further privacy protection for users, after it introduced a “do not track” option in third-party apps earlier this year. The changes include allowing users to see what information is being shared by apps, and stopping tracking via email marketing messages. The changes will hurt firms which rely on user data for advertising. Also today, we look at how the FBI managed to track down the ransom paid by the operators of the Colonial Pipeline after last month’s cyberattack.
