CBSE Class 10th Result 2021 declared: 99.04% students pass; girls outshine boys

The Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) has announced the results of Class 10th Board Exams 2021. The results have been published on the official websites of the Board at cbseresults.nic.in. To check CBSE result 2021 from cbseresults.nic.in, candidates will be required to use roll numbers as login.

Girls outshone boys by a slender margin of 0.35 per cent while 99.04 per cent of students passed the class 10 exams.

According to CBSE data, 57,824 students have scored above 95 per cent marks, while 2,00,962 candidates have scored between 90 and 95 per cent.

The result of 16,639 students is still under process. No merit list will be declared this year and no merit certificates will be issued to students,” said BSE Examination Controller Sanyam Bharwdaj, PTI reported

The board exams were cancelled this year in view of the aggressive second wave of COVID-19. The result was announced on the basis of an alternate assessment policy.

Apart from the official websites, the CBSE 10th results can also be accessed through DigiLocker. The results will also bewill also be available on the official UMANG websites and also through IVRS and SMS.

Earlier in the day, CBSE on its Twitter handle said that students can find their Roll Number using the Finder.

“Dear Students Results can be accessed on cbseresults.nic.in or cbse.gov.in or DigiLocker Find your Roll Number using the Finder on /cbseit.in/cbse/2021/rfin… #CBSEResults #CBSE,” said CBSE HQ on its Twitter handle.

The results this year are being announced after taking into account the performance in the past three years. This is because the board exams could not be held in 2021 due to the second wave of the pandemic.

Students who are unhappy with the results will be allowed to take the physical exams when the situation is conducive.

How to find your roll number?

The CBSE has released a ‘roll number finder’ for students of class 10 to be able to check their results.

  • Go to cbse.gov.in/cbsenew/cbse.html
  • On the homepage, click on ‘Roll number finder’
  • You will be redirected to a new page
  • Select Class 10
  • Enter your name, name of mother and father and your date of birth
  • Click on the search button
  • Your roll number will appear on the screen

Over 2.1 million students were slated to appear for CBSE Class 10 board exams and around 1.4 million for CBSE class 12 board exams, official data showed.

On July 30, CBSE had declared the results for class 12 board examinations.

The examination was scheduled to be held in May but was cancelled due to a surge in COVID-19 cases.
