Cognitiv’s Rosé / Not Rosé! App Racks up Two More Awards

We are thrilled to be recognized once again for the design and creativity of Rosé / Not Rosé!

Cognitiv, the leading provider of deep learning AI for marketers, has won two new awards for its Rosé / Not Rosé! app. The app, launched last summer as a way for people to relive their memories of the Croisette while in lockdown, has won Gold and Silver in the Horizon Interactive Awards and won Silver in the MUSE Creative Awards.

Rosé / Not Rosé! is a seasonal app celebrating the fan-favorite Cannes drink while showcasing deep learning’s powers of pattern recognition. The app lets users take a picture of themselves with (or without) a drink, and uses deep learning to determine whether the photo features Rosé or NOT Rosé. Users who play around with the settings and their drinks may stumble across a few easter eggs – if they are lucky. Last summer, people did their best to stump the deep learning AI, and shared the results with friends and colleagues who were also missing the French Riviera.

We look forward to showcasing the latest edition of the app next month and providing more fun for the crowd missing the live version of Cannes Lions again this year.”

Fans of the HBO comedy “Silicon Valley” will recognize the homage to the Hot Dog/Not Hot Dog App featured in the show. As part of the Rosé / Not Rosé! launch in 2020, Christopher Diamontopoulos – who plays Russ Hanneman in the show – starred in a Cameo video recommending the app.

Mason Halstead, the Head UI Engineer at Cognitiv, took on the role of lead developer for the project. Fain led creative direction, alongside Cognitiv’s VP of Marketing, Justine Frostad, who also served as copywriter. Todd Cooper of creative agency All-D was the design lead for the project.

The Horizon Interactive Awards showcases the industry’s best interactive media from around the globe, recognizing extraordinary achievement in web design, videos, advertising, mobile applications, and more. The MUSE Creative and MUSE Design Awards are global competitions which seek to commemorate the exemplary creative and design professionals of various industries as well as the extraordinary work they produce.

The Rosé / Not Rosé! App was also named a winner in the MobileWebAwards earlier this year.
