Convention-Focused Rideshare Co. Launches in Vegas | Business Travel News
A new transportation network company this week launched in Las Vegas, targeting convention and large-scale event organizers as an alternative to Uber and Lyft for meeting participants.
Pop-Up Rideshare is a solution designed for marketing firms and large-scale event organizers, with customizable packages for clients that can include complimentary rides for attendees, vinyl-wrapped vehicles with host or sponsor logos, video marketing and lead-gen gathering through user downloads. Users are incentivized to download event host or sponsor apps to unlock free rides during the event.
The founders of Pop-Up Rideshare originally operated as Ride Austin, a nonprofit rideshare company that shuttered during the pandemic. Its Las Vegas reboot is a for-profit offering. According to the company, its drivers are vetted for safety.
CEO Dave Evans said in a press release the company is bringing “a completely new concept to the transportation industry” to corporate sponsors at meetings and events. The company operates only in Las Vegas for now, with plans to grow to other large-scale event markets.
