Cumberlands Leads After Day One of MSC Women’s Golf Spring Tournament

CROSSVILLE, Tenn. – Cumberlands (Ky.) sits in first place after day one of the Mid-South Conference Women’s Golf Spring Tournament at Bear Trace at Cumberland Mountain Monday.
The Patirots shot a 15-over par score of 303 in the opening round. Lindsey Wilson (Ky.) is nine shots behind Cumberlands with a score of 312.
Cumberlands’ Carlee Shoemaker sits atop the leaderboard after round one with an even-par 72. Pikeville’s (Ky.) Boo Newsome and Cumberland’s (Tenn.) Nathalie Nutu are tied for second with a two-over 74. Lindsey Wilson’s Katie Biddlecome, Malene Clausen and Zofia Wojcik are all tied for fourth with a 75.
Campbellsville (Ky.) and Cumberland sits tied for third with a score of 322 while Georgetown is fifth with a 343. Pikeville shot 344 and sits in sixth and Thomas More (Ky.) is seventh with a 352.
Bethel (Tenn.) and Shawnee State (Ohio) round out the team standings with a 396 and 405, respectively.
The final round of the MSC Women’s Golf Spring Tournament begins at 8:30 a.m. CT Tuesday at Bear Trace at Cumberland Mountain.
