Cyberpunk 2077 Gets Mind-Blowing Unreal Engine 5 Treatment by a Fan

It’s still unknown whether CD Projekt RED would ever get back to the Cyberpunk 2077 franchise once again, but if it happens, an Unreal Engine 5-based entry from this series could be as mind-blowing as this demo from a dedicated fan!

When you talk about Cyberpunk 2077 with the game’s community, there is always a mixed feeling of love and hate about this massive project by CDPR. While the game has lovely lore and story, players are still mad about the features and cut content, the existence of which could make Cyberpunk 2077 a revolutionary game.

Currently, CD Projekt RED is focused on The Witcher franchise, and recently announced that the next entry of the series will be built based on Unreal Engine 5 rather than the company’s RED Engine. However, Cyberpunk 2077 still has a huge community, and fans would definitely love to get back to its universe once again if CD Projekt RED really learns could make up for the past.

This Fan-Made Cyberpunk 2077 Demo in Unreal Engine 5 Will Make You Wish CDPR Returns to Night City Soon

Enfant Terrible, a YouTuber and an Unreal Engine 5 indie developer, recently shared an amazing video from their most recent project in Epic Games’ powerful engine, showing off its capabilities in handling a cyberpunk world.

According to the creator, they have used the MetaHumans Creator for crafting the human face in this demo as well as some Environment megapacks picked up from Epic’s own marketplace.

The result looks absolutely stunning, and the human face animations are beyond imagination. Even that gameplay footage in the middle of the video looks insane! Unreal Engine 5 seems to be a strong and limitless engine for creating the games that would probably be impossible previously.

Now, it depends on the developers how to use this power in their upcoming projects. Of course, there are already some limits for creators as the new consoles probably won’t be able to run every single project if it is not optimized enough.
