He brought in $260,000 in the first year, solidifying his hypothesis that there would be a demand for hair loss services.

Fast forward almost 20 years, Evolution Hair Loss Institute and Advanced Trichology raked in $5.5M in 2020, employs 10 people globally, and sells 12 direct-to-consumer products.

Gaunitz’s formal education in trichology, where he trained in London at the International Association of Trichology, studied diagnostics in France, and discovered hair loss treatments in Australia, has turned into a multimillion-dollar conglomerate that includes a consultation practice, consumer products, coordination of global conferences and being invited to be a fellow at the World Trichology Society.
