Five MSC Football Teams Mentioned in NAIA Postseason Poll

BOWLING GREEN, Ky. – Five Mid-South Conference football teams were mentioned in the NAIA Football FirstDown Playbook Top 25 Postseason Poll, the national office announced on Monday.
Lindsey Wilson (Ky.), Keiser (Fla.), Reinhardt (Ga.), and Georgetown (Ky.) were listed with the top 25 while Southeastern (Fla.) appears in the receiving votes section.
Lindsey Wilson gathered the top spot after claiming the 2020-21 NAIA Football National Championship. The Blue Raiders earned all 16 first-place votes and received 366 voting points.
Keiser finished in fourth with 322 points followed by Reinhardt in eighth with 274 voting points. Georgetown is ranked No. 13 in the postseason poll with 192 voting points. Southeastern appears in the receiving votes section with 27 voting points.
As for the rest of the top-five, Northwestern (Iowa) comes in at No. 2 with 352 points followed by Morningside (Iowa) at No. 3 with 338 voting points. Grand View (Iowa) rounds out the top-five in fifth with 310 points.
The poll was voted upon by a panel of head coaches representing each of the conferences. Each conference is given one rater for every four schools in the league.
The Top 25 is determined by a points system based on how each voter ranks the best teams. A team receives 25 points for each first-place vote, 24 for second-place and so on through the list.
