BOWLING GREEN, Ky. – Four Mid-South Conference women’s golf teams are mentioned in the NAIA Women’s Golf Coaches’ Top 25 Poll, the national office announced Friday.
Campbellsville (Ky.) is the highest-rated team from the MSC in the poll. The Tigers earned 272 points and are slotted 14th in the poll. Campbellsville recorded one win, two runner-up and two top-10 finishes in the fall.
Cumberland (Tenn.) is 17th in the poll after earning 224 points. The Phoenix won two events and posted two top-10 finishes in their fall season.
Lindsey Wilson is one spot behind Cumberland with 200 points. In their five events in the fall, the Blue Raiders recorded two wins, a runner-up finish and two top-10 finishes.
Cumberlands (Ky.) is in the receiving votes section with 87 points. The Patriots had one runner-up finish and four top-five finishes in the fall.
Oklahoma City sits atop the poll with 463 points and 12 of the 17 first-place votes. Keiser (Fla.) is second with 448 points and four first-place votes. Dalton State is third in the poll with 440 points and the final first-place vote.
British Columbia and SCAD Savannah round out the top five with 412 and 411 points, respectively.
The poll was voted upon by a panel of head coaches representing each of the conferences.
The next regular season poll is scheduled to come out on Friday March 11.
