Get ready to shop: Lazada is the official e-commerce partner for Great Singapore Sale 2021

For the first time in 27 years, The Great Singapore Sale (GSS) is teaming up with an e-commerce platform and Lazada is proud to be its official partner this year.

The partnership will involve retailers tapping on the expertise and reach of Lazada to boost online sales given the recent tightened restrictions and limited footfall traffic at malls.

What makes this event more significant is that June 6, which is the start of GSS, coincides with Lazada’s annual 6.6 sale. The month-long GSS will wrap up on July 7, which marks Lazada’s 7.7 sale.

This means that for the next 30 days, Lazada will be offering great deals and discounts that shoppers can look forward to.

According to the Singapore Retailers Association, this Lazada x GSS partnership is also aimed at boosting online turnover for sellers amid challenges brought about by the changing retail landscape and the Covid-19 pandemic.

To kick off the event, Lazada will be holding a 24-hour storewide flash sale featuring over 270 brands, free shipping for orders above S$5, and a new way to save more when you buy more with Lazada Bonus.

Start saving even before the sale starts

Leading up to Lazada’s Great Singapore Sale, you can look out for a slew of pre-sale activities happening until June 5.

You can start by spreading the word about Lazada to your family and friends — regardless if they are new or existing users — to help you earn money via Share Pocket.

For every successful set of referrals within the day, S$20 will be credited to your Lazada wallet, which must be spent within two weeks.

While waiting for GSS to happen, you can also start collecting Lazada Bonuses as you browse the app. It entitles you to enjoy S$6 off every S$50 spend, which can be applied on selected products that are tagged with the Lazada Bonus badge on June 6.

For the first time ever, Lazada will be hosting 24-hour storewide flash sales starting from midnight. This is unprecedented as Lazada’s storewide flash sales usually last for only two hours.

This time, over 270 stores will offer discounts up to 90 per cent off, including brands like Dyson, Prism+, Adidas and Metro.

After 8am, the flash sales deals will refresh every two to four hours, featuring S$6.60 deals from 6pm to 8pm.

Under the “Flash Sale” tab, you should also keep your eyes peeled for the surprise boxes. More than 150 branded surprise boxes will be going at S$16 (worth S$40), up to S$76 (worth S$200).
