Google engineer develops GitaGPT for those seeking ‘Gita ka gyaan’ – Times of India

Are you stuck with your assignment, movie script or a love letter? There is ChatGPT for you, which sometimes may write better than a human. Not just this, you now also have a ChatGPT-like platform to give you spiritual wisdom. Well, there is a new AI chatbot in the town, the GitaGPT, which claims to give you answers straight from the Bhagavad Gita.
Created by Sukuru Sai Vineet, an engineer at Google, the GitaGPT is based on the GPT-3 language model trained on Bhagwad Gita, a 700-verse Hindu scripture.
“GitaGPT is a GPT-3 powered app that generates answers to your life issues from the Bhagavad Gita,” reads the description.
GitaGPT, as the AI bot is called, uses the knowledge and wisdom of the Bhagavad Gita, one of the ancient Hindu scriptures, to provide users with guidance and enlightenment in their life decisions.
By leveraging the vast knowledge of the Bhagavad Gita, Gita GPT offers users a unique perspective and a more profound understanding of their queries. Whether it’s about life purpose, ethical dilemmas, or any other existential question, GitaGPT can give you insightful and meaningful answers to Bhagwad Gita to help individuals navigate their lives.
GitaGPT answers what the meaning of life is
Vineet, the creator of GitaGPT, shared a few examples of how the chatbot works.

In one of them, he asked, “What is the meaning of life?” The bot replied, “The meaning of life, as described in the Bhagavad Gita, is to strive for liberation from old age and death, taking refuge in God and realising Brahman, the knowledge of the Self and all action. It is to be devoted to God and to work for the sake of sacrifice, with detachment and an established mind in knowledge. Ultimately, the goal is to reach the resplendent Supreme Person.”
With the answer, the chatbot also shows relevant verses from the Bhagavad Gita from which the answer is inspired.
