Google launches its first-ever Pixel smartwatch: Key features, availability and more – Times of India

At its Made By Google hardware event, Google took the wraps of its first-ever Pixel smartwatch. Dubbed Pixel Watch, it is powered with Wear OS by Google and brings a host of features from Fitbit.
Google Pixel Watch: Price and availability
Google Pixel Watch is available for $349 for Bluetooth/Wi-Fi, and $399 for 4G LTE, including six months of Fitbit Premium and three months of YouTube Music Premium (available in applicable markets). Google Pixel Watch will be available in nine countries, including US, Canada, United Kingdom, Ireland, Germany, France, Japan, Australia and Taiwan, starting October 13. So no Pixel Watch for the Indian market.
Google Pixel Watch: Key features
The smartwatch features a circular 3D domed glass and is made of stainless steel. Pixel Watch It is both water-resistant (up to 5 ATM/50 meters) and scratch-resistant. There’s a digital crown like button on the Pixel Watch, which can be used to access apps and much more. The smartwatch comes with 32GB onboard storage.
Google Pixel Watch will come with 20 band styles and 19 customisable watch faces. Accessory bands range from $49-$199.
Google Pixel Watch comes with a claimed battery life of up to 24 hours and can be charged to 50% in just 30 minutes.
Google Pixel Watch is equipped with an Emergency SOS feature to alert emergency responders or trusted contacts. Fall detection is also coming to Pixel Watch but only next year. The ECG app on the Pixel Watch can detect signs of Atrial Fibrillation (A-Fib).
Google says that the Fitbit experience is completely redesigned for Google Pixel Watch. Users will get 40 exercise modes, there’s a with built-in GPS and a feature called Active Zone Minutes.
With Fitbit Premium, users can get deeper insights and access to features like Daily Readiness Score — a feature that stresses the importance of rest between workouts. Further, more than 1,000 workouts and 400 mindfulness sessions are available for Fitbit Premium subscribers.
