Google phone: Google Phone app may get better at searching unsaved contact numbers, here’s how – Times of India

The Google Phone app in your Android device may soon get better at finding the numbers you have recently called but didn’t save in your contacts list, as per a report by 9to5Google. The tech giant is reportedly testing this feature with the Pixel devices.
With the update, the dialer search will show the recently dialled numbers that you have not saved when you try to enter a new number having similar digits. It looks like the number search feature is being aimed specifically at the new phone numbers you have called but maybe don’t want to save on account of them being associated with sales or business.
For now, the update is being rolled out to the Pixel devices in beta and may come later to other Android phones. The app update could also be one of the nifty features of the Android 12 package.
Android 12 is expected to come with a feature that will send you a notification when some app tries to gain access to your clipboard. Also, these messages will show the icon of the app that is trying to copy content from your clipboard, which would make it easier for you to identify the app. The feature will be tested in the second Android 12 Beta which is yet to be released.
Google will also add a Privacy Dashboard that gives users a timeline view of what apps tried to access their location, microphone and camera. The Privacy Dashboard will be rolled out with the Android 12 Beta 2. Users would be able to view the apps accessing their data by going to Quick Settings.
