google: What Google Store’s redesign tells about its next big hardware launch – Times of India

Google has reportedly started to redesign the Google Store with simplified navigation. As per a report by 9to5Google, the tech giant is revamping its online store almost after two years. The report suggests that the revamped website lays the groundwork for future products such as the Google Pixel Watch.
Till now, the Google Store used to show its hardware brands such as Pixel, Nest, Stadia, Fitbit, and Pixelbook, aling with Subscriptions and Special Offers tab. After the revamp, the website shows categories of devices including Phones, Watches, Smart Home, Gaming, and Laptops. The Subscriptions tab remains the same and the Special Offers tab has been renamed as ‘Offers’.
According to the report, the ‘Watches’ section reflects Google’s upcoming smartwatch with Pixel moniker. Earlier this week, tipster Evan Blass also suggest that we may see rumoured ‘Google Pixel Watch’ running in Wear OS 3.1 soon. The first smartwatch for Google has been in the rumours for quite some time now. Although the tech giant has not revealed any details about the wearable yet, we have seen numerous reports and leaks suggesting how the device may look like. As reported earlier the codename for the first Pixel Watch project is Rohan.
According to the latest tweet by a tipster, the launch of Pixel Rohan is imminent. Although the tipster has not revealed any specific timeline for the launch, another tipster Jon Prosser last month claimed that the company may launch the device at Google I/O 2022. The annual conference is scheduled to be held on May 11-12.
