Gujarat board class 10th exam 2021 cancelled; students to grant mass promotion – Times of India
“Considering the current state of transition of Covid-19, the government has decided to give mass promotion to regular students in class 10 of the current academic year,” said Gujarat chief minister Vijay Rupani.

This year, over 12 lakh students have registered for the Gujarat SSC examination.
“Gujarat Govt, under the guidance of chief minister Vijay Rupani, takes an important decision to grant mass promotion to all regular students of Class-10 (SSC) for this year owing to the present situation of COVID-19 in the state,” CM Office tweeted on Thursday.

Gujarat classes 10 and 12 examinations were scheduled to commence from May 10 to 25. However, the government has now called off the class 10 examination while the status of the class 12 exams stands postponed. Fresh dates for the class 12 examination will be announced in due course. Class 12 students will be provided adequate time of at least 15 days before the exam schedule whenever it is announced, said the officials.
Earlier, the Gujarat government had decided to give mass promotion for all the classes considering the steep rise in Covid-19 cases in the state.
