Honor smartphones to come with Google apps and services, confirms company – Times of India

NEW DELHI: Last year in November, smartphone maker Huawei announced that it sold its sub-brand Honor to a consortium. The company took this decision after the US sanctions imposed on Huawei. The restrictions barred the smartphone maker from using Google‘s apps and services.
Now, Honor is an independent company and is all set to introduce its new Honor 50 series with Google apps and mobile services. As reported by XDA Developers, Honor made this announcement via Twitter in which the company confirmed that its next smartphone series will come with Google Mobile Services.
The Honor 50 series will be the first of the company to include Google Mobile Services since Huawei was banned from using it. Honor has also confirmed that the upcoming smartphones will also use the company’s own layer of custom UI — the Magic UI. The company is also working on introducing new features to the UI to improve user experience.
The report also mentioned that after Google, Honor is also looking at restarting partnerships in the US with companies like Qualcomm and Intel.
Honor is expected to launch the Honor 50 series soon. As per online reports, the company will launch two smartphones in the series likely to be called Honor 50 and Honor 50 Pro+. The flagship model is said to come with a 2K display with a 120Hz refresh rate. The smartphone is also said to come with dual selfie cameras with 32MP and 8MP sensors.
The rear of the smartphone is said to house a quad-camera setup with a 50MP main sensor, 13MP ultra-wide-angle lens, an 8MP sensor and a ToF sensor.
On the other hand, Honor 50 is likely to come with curved edges and sport a triple rear camera on the back.
