Huawei MatePad Pro tablet with 10050mAh battery and 12.6-inch OLED display announced – Times of India

Chinese consumer technology giant Huawei today expanded its hardware lineup with the launch of multiple products, along with announcing its HarmonyOS 2 operating system. The company has announced a tablet — called the Huawei MatePad Pro — as well.
Touted as a desktop tablet, the Huawei MatePad Pro runs on HarmonyOS 2. It offers top of the line specs and is the most powerful tablet device from the brand yet.
Huawei MatePad Pro specs and features
The Huawei MatePad Pro offers a 12.6-inch OLED FullView display (2560x1600p resolution) with a 90% screen-to-body ratio, which the company claims is the highest among all tablets currently available on the market. The device offers a high contrast ratio of 1,000,000:1 and supports a DCI-P3 colour gamut.
Powering the tablet is Huawei’s own Kirin 9000E SoC. Huawei claims that this chipset enables the MatePad Pro to deliver high-speed data processing.
The HarmonyOS 2 software comes with features like Bottom Dock that displays both frequently and recently used apps. Huawei also offers Service Widgets that display real-time information, and allow users to access certain features of the apps without the need to open them.
The tablet also offers support for Mirror mode, Extend mode and Collaborate mode. The Mirror mode allows the screen of the connected PC to be mirrored to the tablet display, the Extend mode converts the tablet into a second screen and the Collaborate mode enables interactions between HarmonyOS 2 and Windows, allowing users to transfer content such as text, images and documents between connected devices.
Backed by a 10050mAh battery, the Huawei MatePad Pro houses a dual rear camera setup of 13 MP (f/1.8 aperture) and 8 MP (f/2.4 aperture). On the front, it has an 8 MP sensor (f/2.0 aperture).
Huawei M-Pencil (second-generation) and Smart Magnetic Keyboard
Along with the Huawei MatePad Pro, the company also launched two accessories — Huawei M-Pencil (second-generation) and Huawei Smart Magnetic Keyboard.
The Huawei M-Pencil (second-generation) offers low latency and support for 4,096 levels of pressure sensitivity. The Smart Magnetic Keyboard is a full-sized keyboard that features key travel of 1.3mm and offers Bluetooth and wireless charging.
