Huawei Watch 3 and Huawei Watch 3 Pro running on HarmonyOS 2 announced – Times of India

Chinese consumer technology giant Huawei has today announced its HarmonyOS 2 operating system. At the event, the company also announced a plethora of hardware products too. Adding to its smartwatch lineup, Huawei today announced two new wearable devices — Huawei Watch 3 and Huawei Watch 3 Pro.
The two smartwatches run on the company’s own operating system called HarmonyOS.
Huawei claims that the two smartwatches come with “a high-precision temperature sensor for the first time to support skin temperature detection.”
The duo sport a stainless steel watch body with a curved glass screen. They house a 3D rotating crown that senses different levels of pressure and provides haptic feedback in response to user input.
They offer support for more than workout modes, in addition to a broad range of healthcare support options.
Huawei Watch 3 and Huawei Watch 3 Pro common specs
The two smartwatches offer a 1.43-inch AMOLED colour screen with 466 x 466 pixel resolution and 326ppi.
Both offer an Acceleration sensor, Gyro sensor, Geomagnetic sensor, Optical heart rate sensor, Ambient light sensor, Barometric pressure sensor, Temperature Sensor.
The two have 16GB internal storage and 2GB RAM option and offer wireless charging support.
Compatible with both Android (version 6.0 above) and iOS (version 9 or above) both the smartwatches offer e-SIM support and offers AppGallery, from where users can download third-party apps.
Huawei Watch 3 and Huawei Watch 3 Pro difference
The main difference between the two smartwatches is their battery life. While the Huawei Watch 3 has a claimed battery life of 3 days in the smart mode, the Huawei Watch 3 Pro is said to last 5 days.
Also, the Huawei Watch 3 has been launched in Active, Classic and Elite Edition and the Huawei Watch 3 Pro comes in Classic and Elite Edition.

The company has announced that the Huawei Watch 3 series will be available starting June 21. However, the availability for specific models and editions may vary by countries and regions.
