What are three essential items in your wardrobe? A fabulous coat. My tactic is to invest in a good coat, like a Burberry trench or Saks Potts shearling, and wear whatever I want under it, like Chanel slingbacks and, this is tragic, my Lululemon tights.

Any go-to jewellery? A diamond tennis necklace. It’s something I invested in and it’s not just coming out for dinner. I wear it everywhere – to the gym, I sleep in it …
What’s at the top of your wish list? A matching tennis bracelet.
Can you remember a favourite outfit from when you were a child? I was always in smock dresses with ribbons in my hair. I would wear ribbons now if it wasn’t weird.
And your worst fashion mistake? I wore a lot of peplum dresses in 2010.

What was your first fashion moment? I was quite a fashionable baby. I was born in 1986, when most baby girls wore pink. Mum would go to Paris for the shows and buy me clothes from Agnes B and Comme des Garçons and dress me in monochrome – black-and-white spots and a big white cardigan, for example. I was stylish until I learnt to dress myself and ruined Mum’s dreams.
Is there anything you would never wear? Pants, jeans, suits, shorts …
Is there a current trend you like? I’m loving a big sleeve.

What shoes do you wear most often? Aquazzura jewelled sandals, my Chanel slingbacks, and I’m enjoying a pair of neon-green Yeezy slides – they’re very “not me” but I feel like I’m walking on a cloud.
What do you wear to bed? Qantas pyjamas. I haven’t travelled for so long I bought some on eBay.
Who’s your favourite fashion icon? Elizabeth Taylor. Also, Miss Piggy.
What’s your favourite off-duty, casual Sunday look? An easy, throw-on dress from Sleeper or Zimmermann that I can wear with a sneaker or sandal. When I find something I like, I buy multiples in different colours or prints.
