iPhone users on WhatsApp may soon get this new shortcut – Times of India

It appears that WhatsApp users on iOS may soon get a new shortcut. According to an online report, the Meta-owned instant messaging app may soon introduce a camera shortcut for iPhone users.
As reported by WABetaInfo, a Twitter account that keeps track of upcoming changes in WhatsApp has revealed that WhatsApp Beta version 22.19.0.75 on iOS shows a new camera shortcut.
The camera shortcut is under development and it will appear in the navigation bar. The report adds that the camera shortcut will enable users to quickly access the camera within the app. Presently, WhatsApp offers a separate tab for cameras which is tipped to be replaced with the Communities tab in future.
The camera shortcut on iPhones looks similar to the one on Android. As mentioned above, the feature is under development and is expected to roll out with future updates.
WhatsApp will soon stop working on these Apple devices
Meanwhile, WhatsApp will reportedly stop functioning on some iPhones on October 24. WhatsApp will likely stop releasing software support for iPhones that are running on iOS 10 and 11. This means iPhone 5 and 5C users have to get a newer version of iPhone or have to start using another instant messaging platform.
