Do hefty price tags guarantee good performances by players in an IPL season? History has told us that that is not the case.
Ahead of the ongoing 15th edition of the IPL two new teams joined the bandwagon, taking the total number of teams up to 10. That meant that these two teams were given the chance to sign players before the mega auction. It wasn’t surprising to see that a few of the players who were signed were big names who commanded large price tags.
In the mega auction itself there were multiple cricketers who were sold for Rs 10 Crore or more.
