Is Sky broadband down? Server status latest, hundreds hit by issues
Sky broadband down reports are surging in this evening, with hundreds of customers reporting issues with their internet connection.
Independent outage monitor Down Detector has recorded a spike in Sky down reports today.
At the time of writing, Down Detector UK has registered a peak of around 900 reports of Sky down.
Out of those affected, the vast majority (94 percent) are reporting issues with their Sky internet connection.
According to Down Detector stats, the areas that are reporting issues with Sky broadband include London, Fulham and Manchester.
As the Sky down reports came in the official Sky Help Twitter account did confirm some users may be having service trouble this evening. However this was for the Brighton & Hove area specifically.
The @SkyHelp Twitter account posted: “NEW: Brighton & Hove area.
“Customers may not be able to get online or make/receive calls. You can keep up to date on the My Sky App and check your service status here”.
The Sky support account has also been replying to users though that have been experiencing problems in other areas tonight.
Responding to one the @SkyHelp Twitter wrote: “We haven’t been notified of any wider broadband issues at the moment. It could potentially be a local outage in the area which is managed by Openreach.”
