ISL Semifinal 2023: Bengaluru FC gear up for Mumbai City backlash | Football News – Times of India

BENGALURU: With his team performing beyond expectations, even setting a record of 10 wins on the trot, Bengaluru FC coach Simon Grayson will have a new headache ahead of the second leg of the Indian Super League (ISL) semifinal against Mumbai City FC at the Sree Kanteerava stadium here on Sunday.
That would be whether to start India skipper Sunil Chhetri or to use him as a super sub. Proof of that came at the Mumbai City Arena when he slipped past Mumbai’s defence wall and headed in the winner that gave BFC a slender advantage.
“If Sunil keeps scoring goals, it’s a good headache to have,” Grayson said.
With no away-goal rule in place, Mumbai will fancy their chances of ending their lean spell of three consecutive defeats that followed the euphoria of winning the League Shield.
