Jones through to final

Rio silver medallist Luuka Jones is through to tonight’s final of the women’s K1 canoe slalom at the Tokyo Olympics.

With the top 10 qualifying for tonight’s final, Jones finished fifth overall in the semifinal, three seconds down on the top qualifier, Australian Jessica Fox.

It wasn’t the easiest of runs, the New Zealander picking up a two-second penalty to finish on 108.97sec.

The final starts at 7.15pm tonight.
