Karnataka government clears 18 investment proposals worth Rs 34,432 crore

The state high-level clearance committee (SHLCC) chaired by chief minister Basavaraj Bommai on Friday cleared 18 investment proposals worth Rs 34,432 crore with a potential to add 48,850 jobs.

Of these eight are new projects while 10 are about additional investments.

Some of the major proposals cleared are: Trualt Bioenergy’s ethanol plant of 2000 kilo-litres per day capacity ()Rs 1856 crore), Toyota Kirloskar’s hybrid vehicles along with ICE vehicles (Rs 3661 crore), Applied Materials’s Showerheads/capital equipment for semiconductors (Rs 1573 crore), Carl Zeiss India’s Rs 977 crore, Prakash Sponge Iron’s integrated steel plant of 0.2 mmtpa capacity (Rs 2500 crore), Emvee Photovoltaic Power’s solar PV module and cells (Rs 232 crore), Sugar’s distillery /ethanol plant (Rs 775 crore) and Chidanand Basaprabhu Kore Sahakari Sakkare Kharkhane’s distillery / ethanol plant (Rs 270 crore)..
