Krushal Ahuja, who has made his Hindi television debut with Zee TV’s show Rishton Ka Manjha, gets candid

What made you to take up Rishton Ka Manjha?

This show has a connect with sports and I liked it instantly when Sushanta da (the producer) approached me with the story. Hindi television is a very good platform and I always wanted to work here.

How comfortable are you working in Hindi daily soap?

I have worked hard for the last three years and have learnt a lot. Also, I know learning is a continuous process and I am sure I will learn every day on the sets of Rishton Ka Manjha. So, there is no discomfort.

You are shooting in Kolkata which is your home state. Is that an added advantage?

Yes, definitely that’s a win-win situation for me. Kolkata is my own place and that always adds to the comfort factor.

In the promo of the show, we saw your character (Arjun) on the verge of jumping from a bridge. What’s Krushal’s take on that?

If you ask me about that particular angle of the story I would say I am not a quitter and will always put my level best to come out of a difficult situation. So, Arjun and Krushal have no similarities when it comes to that. I believe we have all faced many difficult situations in life and just need a strong determination and willpower to overcome that.

Tell us about your look in the show…

I used to have very long hair for my last show. I needed to trim it down a bit and I have also groomed my beard. It’s a new look which I am enjoying and I hope my fans will like it too.

Whom do you look up to when it comes to acting?

I am a watchful actor. I have seen many films, web series of different actors and got inspired by them.

What is your hunger now as an artiste?

The hunger is to get a good web series and film so that I can showcase my ability as an actor.

After a hard day at work, how you unwind?

A long drive always takes me to a different place. I used to be an avid reader but now I do not get time. Good music also heals me.
