Canada-born AI-powered audio production platform LANDR Audio has acquired Synchro Arts, the makers of the popular VocAlign and Revoice Pro audio softwares.

Founded in 1994, LANDR says that Synchro Arts has become “the industry standard” for vocal timing and pitch alignment with its multi-track vocal processing features.

The company also says that VocAlign’s plugins are used by “tens of thousands of users” worldwide. Synchro Arts’ Revoice Pro software is used by professional musicians and in TV and film studios.

These products will eventually be available through LANDR’s plugins store, but no specific timing has been established for that.

The Synchro Arts team, based in the UK, will now be integrated into the global LANDR team, but will continue to be responsible for the development of the existing product lines, which LANDR says it has no plans to change.

LANDR, which launched its AI Mastering software in 2014, claims to have over 3 million users in 160 countries, and a collection of over a million sounds (with ‘infinite’ possibilities) within its extensive LANDR Samples database.

In 2019, the company raised $26 million in its Series B round of fundraising.

LANDR offers a music distribution service, a samples marketplace, a plugin store, and a marketplace for hiring producers, engineers and promoters, as well as a video chat software that streams high quality audio from the DAW.
