Mac Tips for Teachers- How to Activate Dual Monitor Feature and See Two Windows Side by Side on The Same Screen
Mac’s dual monitor functionality allows you to split the opened windows on your computer into two main windows that are equal in screen size. One to the left and the other to the right. You can drag and drop to change their placement. For instance, let’s say you have a Word document open where you work on your writing project and you also have few tabs opened on Chrome with resources that you draw on in the preparation of your paper. Dual monitor feature can be handy here. You can have both windows: your Word document and Chrome browser window showing on the same screen. You can adjust the size of each window as you like. Great for multi-tasking.
Also, at least for Word documents, the dual monitor feature in Mac lets you slip your document into two duplicate parts giving you much more space to work on your documents. For Mac users, to activate the dual monitor functionality, click on Window from the top bar and select one of the two options: ‘the Window to Left of Screen’, ‘the Window to Right of Screen’.
