Make the Diagnosis: She’s Too Young for Lines on Her Face
Presentation
A 9-year-old girl was brought to the doctor by her mother after noticing a rash that had developed on the girl’s face over the past week. On examination, a fine, scaly, pigmented plaque with pink and violaceous hues was seen on her lower cheek. The lesion had a linear configuration. The patient and her family had a history of atopy, but she was otherwise healthy, had no systemic symptoms, and appeared well.
