McDonald’s Turns Purple For BTS Collaboration, Twitter Can’t Keep Calm

If you’re a fast-food lover – chances are that you would know about McDonald’s recent collaboration with popular Korean boy band BTS. BTS Fans, also known as the BTS Army, had plenty of reason to celebrate as their favourite band now released exclusive meals and merchandise through McDonald’s outlets across the globe. But even McDonald’s fans were taken by surprise when the burger joint decided to completely revamp its look and feel by turning purple. Wondering what we mean? Take a look:

Yes, indeed. McDonald’s has given up its trademark red and yellow colours for a bright purple. Right from the décor to the packaging of meals, the logo to the restaurant’s outer facade and even the exclusive BTS merchandise being sold at McDonald’s – everything has been rebranded thanks to the mega collaboration.

The reason that the colour purple was chosen by the burger giant was because of the connection to the band BTS. According to reports, the purple connection is created to BTS member Taehyung who said that the colour was the last one of the rainbow and meant to represent love and trust. “I Purple You,” became a popular phrase among BTS fans.

Twitter users were quite intrigued to see this new avatar of McDonald’s. Take a look at how they reacted:
