Microsoft may launch next-generation of Windows soon – Times of India

NEW DELHI: Tech giant Microsoft is busy with its annual developer conference — Microsoft Build 2021. The company announced new changes coming to Microsoft Teams at the conference. In case you are working for the company to reveal its big Windows plans at the event, then that will not happen.
Microsoft is preparing for a separate event where it will talk about its Windows operating system. Microsoft CEO Satya Nadella has teased the upcoming big announcement during his Build keynote. It is possible that the company might reveal the next generation of Windows.
During the keynote, Nadella said, “Soon we will share one of the most significant updates to Windows of the past decade to unlock greater economic opportunity for developers and creators. I’ve been self-hosting it over the past several months, and I’m incredibly excited about the next generation of Windows. Our promise to you is this: we will create more opportunity for every Windows developer today and welcome every creator who is looking for the most innovative, new, open platform to build and distribute and monetize applications. We look forward to sharing more very soon.”
Rumours suggest that Microsoft has been working on a new app store for Windows. Along with this, the company is also working on bringing some important changes to the UI of the operating system.
Recently, Microsoft confirmed that it will no longer ship Windows 10X, its OS built for dual-screen. The company also said that it will bring the best features of the OS to the main version of Windows 10.
