microsoft: Microsoft Edge users may soon get these Windows 11 features – Times of India

After the launch of Windows 11 operating system last year, Microsoft added new design elements to its Edge browser. Now as per a latest report by WindowsLatest, the tech giant is working on more improvements for the browser. According to the report, the company is planning to add rounded corners for the tabs in the Chromium based Edge browser along with the Mica effect for the tabs strip. To recall, Google Chrome also introduced round edges for tabs and menus after the launch of Windows 11.
The report further reveals that the new look in the tab stripss caan be spotted in the latest version of Edge Canary. As per the report, the design changes are not enabled by default and users need to enable them manually by going into the Settings section. Recently, Microsoft also added Windows 11-style overlay scrollbars to the browser. For those who don’t know, scrollbars in Windows 11 change shape whenever you approach them or use them.
Earlier this month, the company also introduced a new tool called the Microsoft Editor. The new tool can be used for checking and fixing spelling and punctuation. Along with this, the tool offers suggestions for improving the text. Users don’t have to separately install this feature as it comes built-in into the Edge browser. Microsoft Editor also offers support for over 20 languages and across all websites with a text field that do not have their own built-in spell check.
Along with this, the company also introduced a new ‘Web Select’ feature tool. The tool makes it easier for users to copy text from the web, including tables. The new feature also simplifies the selection of formatted web content like pictures, tables and text. The feature also offers a web capture option which makes it simpler to take a screenshot, annotate and save content you find on the web.
