BOWLING GREEN, Ky. – Freed-Hardeman’s (Tenn.) Alex Huey and Zach Sanders are the Mid-South Conference Baseball Players of the Week, conference officials announced on Monday.

MSC Baseball Player of the Week
Zach Sanders – Freed-Hardeman (Tenn.) – So. – Infielder – Mt. Juliet, Tenn.
- Sanders batted .667 (6-for-9) in two MSC Baseball opening round games against Pikeville (Ky.).
- He went 2-for-5 with a home run and two RBIs in the Lions’ 11-1 victory in game one.
- Sanders then closed out the series going 4-for-4 with a grand slam and six total RBIs in the 18-3 victory.
- He finished the week with a slugging percentage of 1.444.
- Sanders earns weekly honors for the first time in his career.
MSC Baseball Pitcher of the Week
Alex Huey – Freed-Hardeman (Tenn.) – So. – Pitcher – Columbia, Tenn.
- Huey pitched all seven innings in Freed-Hardeman’s 11-1 victory over Pikeville.
- He gave up four hits, one unearned run and struck out a career-high 13.
- Huey earns weekly honors for the first time in his career.
