NAIA Softball Opening Round Host Sites Announced

KANSAS CITY, Mo. – The NAIA announced the 2021 Softball Opening Round host sites on Monday.
Lindsey Wilson (Ky.) will host one of the 10 opening rounds which runs from May 17-19. The Mid-South Conference will also host an opening round in Bowling Green, Kentucky at Buchanon Park.
Selections of each site were made in part by the NAIA Softball National Selection Committee and the National Office. The committee is comprised of head coaches and administrators from around the nation. Selections take into account geography, facilities and host qualification.
Each of the 10 opening round sites will feature four teams. Play will be from May 17-19, 2021 and will have a single day of rest between the first game and the championship. The winner of each will advance to the final site in Columbus, Ga. beginning on May 27 – June 2, 2021.
The opening round schedule and national qualifiers will be announced later next week with the Softball Selection Show slated for Tuesday, May 11 at 4 p.m. CT.
