Nikon: Nikon announces new NIKKOR lenses, price starts Rs 58,995 – Times of India
Nikon India has announced the NIKKOR Z MC 50mm f/2.8 and the NIKKOR Z MC 105mm f/2.8 VR S, the latest additions to the NIKKOR Z lens lineup. The new NIKKOR Z MC 50mm f/2.8 will be available at MRP of Rs 58,995 while the new NIKKOR Z MC 105mm f/2.8 VR S comes at an MRP of Rs 89, 995. The NIKKOR Z MC 50mm f/2.8 will be available for purchase from Nikon Authorised Stores starting last week of June 2021
The NIKKOR Z MC 50mm f/2.8 weighs approximately 260g, and measures 66mm in length. A range of filters can be directly attached to the lens such as the 46mm filter to reduce reflection, and accessories such as the SB-R200 Wireless Speedlight and ES-2 Film Digitizer by using a SY-1-62 adapter ring to further illuminate small subjects, especially during close-ups.
The Nikkor lens, as per the company, is set to bring out the micro details with its capability to reproduce shots with its true magnification ratio of 1:1. With the lens’s short minimum focusing distance of a range of 5cm to 16cm, users will be able to get extremely close to the action all while achieving their shot in tack focus with natural smooth bokeh in the background, claims the company. Additionally, users can achieve suppressed chromatic aberration to effectively minimise colour bleeding and fringing, at any shooting distance, claims Nikon.
The dust- and drip-resistant NIKKOR Z MC 50mm f/2.8 prevents dust and water droplets from entering the lens, or even pollen from sticking onto the lens as you get up close during macro photography, claims the company.
