Nokia C20 Plus with Android 11 Go Edition launched in China – Times of India

NEW DELHI: HMD Global, the company which holds the license to manufacture Nokia branded smartphones, has launched its latest budget smartphone in China. The company has launched the Nokia C20 Plus Android Go Edition smartphone.
Nokia C20 Plus packs an HD+ display and is powered by a Unisoc chipset. THe smartphone runs Android 11 Go Edition and will receive two years of security updates. The smartphone features a sleek Nordic design and it houses a 4950mAh battery.
Nokia C20 Plus comes in Ocean Blue and Graphite Black colour options and is priced at 699 yuan (Rs 7,990). The smartphone is up for pre-order in China and will go on sale starting June 16.
Nokia C20 Plus specifications
Nokia C20 Plus comes with a 6.5-inch HD+ display with 720×1600 pixel resolution and 20:9 aspect ratio. The smartphone is powered by an octa-core Unisoc SC9863A processor paired with 3GB of RAM.
Nokia C20 Plus packs 32GB internal storage which can be expanded up to 256GB by adding a microSD card. The smartphone runs Android 11 Go Edition and offers dual SIM support.
The budget smartphone sports a dual rear camera setup with 8MP main sensor and 2MP secondary sensor. The front is home to a 5MP selfie shooter. Nokia C20 Plus is backed by a 4950 mAh battery.
Recently, HMD Global shared a revised Android 11 roadmap for its Nokia smartphones.
As per the new timeline, Nokia 3.2, Nokia 7.2 and Nokia 6.2 will get the Android 11 update somewhere between Q1 and Q2, whereas the Nokia 1 Plus and Nokia 9 Pureview will get the update in Q2 only.
The company hasn’t given any explanation on why the timeline has been revised, but it doesn’t look good for the handsets from the brand as its stock Android OS and regular updates are the key features of the smartphone lineup.
