Nokia: Nokia C22 to launch in India on May 11: Expected price and specs – Times of India

HMD Global, the home of Nokia phones, has announced the arrival of a new smartphone under the C-segment. The Nokia C22 is set to make its India debut on May 11. While the Finland-based company launched the smartphone earlier in select European markets in February along with the Nokia C32 model. The smartphone is priced at EUR 109 (approximately Rs 9,500) and is available in Charcoal, Purple, and Sand colour options.
Nokia, in a tweet, announced the launch of the upcoming Nokia C22 in India. The company has already begun teasing the Nokia C22 on Twitter where it has tipped the smartphone to feature AI-backed cameras and offer up to three days of battery life.
Nokia C22: Expected features and specifications
The Indian variant of the Nokia C22 is likely to come with the same specifications as the European model. The smartphone is expected to sport a 6.5-inch HD+ LCD screen with 720×1600 pixels resolution. The device is expected to come powered by an octa-core Unisoc SC9863A chipset paired with 2GB RAM and support virtual RAM expansion. Nokia C22 could pack 64GB inbuilt storage, further expandable up to 256GB and run on Android 13 (Go Edition) operating system.
In the camera department, the Nokia C22 is rumoured to feature a dual-rear camera setup comprising a 13MP primary sensor and a 2MP secondary sensor paired with a macro lens. The smartphone could feature an 8MP sensor on the front for selfies and video chats.
Nokia C22 is said to come with a rear-mounted fingerprint sensor and face unlock feature. The smartphone is expected to be backed by a 5000mAh battery with 10W charging support. The device is likely to come with IP52 certification that will make it water resistant.
